Obama’s “Natural Born” Problem

In the past I placed so much faith in the American people that I never thought we would elect someone as corrupt, ineligible, and deceiving into the office of President of the United States of America. Unfortunately much of the world loves him while he and his type will send our nation to Hell in a hand basket. This man should never have been elected President.

Jay - don't believe everything you read on the internet. At first, I thought you were talking about Cheney.

That's not the issue here. Certainly anyone with good sense should know not to believe everything they read on the internet. Even without the birth issue though, I am horrified at the thought of having a wolf in sheep's clothing as our country's head executive. From his words and actions, I believe that Barack Obama is one of those that embodies Isaiah 29:13

The Lord says:
"These people come near to me with their mouth
and honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me
is made up only of rules taught by men.

Admittedly this is my own judgment, which the world likes to claim the people of God should not judge. In truth all should judge, but none should condemn. That is for the Lord alone. In my best judgment, Barack Obama is not healthy for the U.S., especially considering we are sick as a nation already. My hope is that we will turn our hearts back to God.

Just a little follow up about Obama not being of the people of God. I believe that Bill Keller sums things up pretty well.

Trying to keep things friendly. We probably can't change each others minds, but we can at least sharpen our arguments.

So your problem isn't he may or may not be an American, its that he isn't what he claims to be. Is this correct? Was there another candidate that was what they claimed to be?

The issue of whether or not Obama is American is important, but a side issue as far as I'm concerned compared to his claim to be a Christian. If he in fact is not American, I believe it fits with what I believe is a false claim to being part of the family of God.

As far as another candidate, my opinion is that it came down to the lesser of the evils, which as you can tell, I believe Obama was the wrong choice. Regardless, I didn't see a good candidate on the ballot. A sign of the times...

Put your faith in Jesus, not whoever happens to be in the White House. This helps me keep politics in perspective.

Suppose there was another candidate that said many of the same things as Obama, but never claimed to be a Christian. Would you prefer this person to Obama?

I would see no reason to prefer them any more or less. Actions speak louder than words.
